Use any modified thin-set to securely adhere tile to your Redi Niche or Redi Ledge.

Use 2” PVC pipe with a 5.5” drain hub. For installation, apply medium gray or hot blue lava PVC glue by Oatey. If transitioning from ABS to PVC, use Oatey green glue for proper bonding.

Apply Loctite PL Premium construction adhesive or Redi Sealant to all surfaces of the bench frame that make contact with the Redi Bench when it is placed in the frame (i.e., the top of the frame and the vertical frame studs above the splash wall).

Redi Bench shower seats are designed to seamlessly integrate with all Tile Redi shower base models. Instead of sitting inside the shower pan, the bench extends from the splash wall, over its framing (typically 12” deep), and terminates at the wall framing.
For example, in a 60” framed space, you would use a 48” shower base plus a 12” Redi Bench to complete the layout. We also offer different bench depths to best fit various shower pan sizes.

No, never screw or nail through the shower base pan. This can compromise its leakproof design. If needed, you can screw above the pan into the framing, so there is no shifting as the pan sets into the mortar.

No, the shower base pan is waterproof and is ready to be tiled.

The mortar is for support and leveling.

A frameless door will have the door mounts that screw into the wall. The wall will be the anchor and support. The door can be attached to the shower base pan with an adhesive. Please contact the shower door manufacturer for the exact adhesive to be used.

Our shower pans feature a ½” splash wall, designed to support backer board or Redi Wall board. To ensure a watertight seal, we offer multiple protection methods:
- Redi Flash Kit – A Z-flash system that helps prevent leaks at the seam.
- Redi Sealant – Apply a bead of sealant where the backer board meets the splash wall.
- Tape Membrane – Seal the seam with Tile Redi Tape Membrane and another layer of Redi Sealant for extra protection.
- Tile Installation – The tile extends down the backer board into the pan, reinforcing the waterproof barrier.
These steps prevent water intrusion and ensure a long-lasting, leakproof installation.

Installation (Redi Wall)

Redi Wallboards can be cut using a score-and-snap method with a standard utility knife, a drywall saw, a circular saw, a jigsaw, or a hole saw.

No, Redi Wall boards can be tiled on either side.

Yes, our boards do not contain silica dust so you can cut inside without worrying about inhaling harmful dust.

The lap joint provides additional rigidity and waterproofing along the board seams. The lap joint can be cut off to have a 36”x60 board if needed.

Any counter-sinking construction screw meant for wet areas can be used. We recommend using stainless steel or galvanized fasteners.

We recommend no more than 12” apart on each stud with a fastener ½”-1” from the top and the bottom of the board.

A mesh or waterproofing tape is not needed but can be used if so desired. Follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

Redi Flash is, and always has been, an optional method of waterproofing.

If the fastener is driven all the way to the stud, fill the hole with Redi Sealant and add a fastener 1” above or below the previous fastener. Broken pieces can be reattached using Redi Sealant to adhere and seal the break.

Redi Wallboards are not a fire rated product. If fire rating is needed, Redi Wallboards should be installed over other materials that provide the needed fire rating.

All framing should comply with local building code requirements. Framing studs shall be spaced a maximum of 16” on-center. Redi Wall boards cannot be installed if stud spacing exceeds 16” on-center.

Redi Door shower doors are assembled in the USA for quality assurance. Orders require approximately a two-week lead time to process and prepare for shipment (not including delivery transit time).
