Floating a mud bed requires mixing mortar to the right consistency and pitching the floor at exactly 1/4" per foot toward the drain — a skill that takes professional tile setters years to develop. Get the pitch wrong and water pools under your tile.
Puzzle-piece kit method
Every seam is a potential leak point.
